| Got a curse word battery
Well i was wondering if i could use my old batterys from my nylint 1/18 scale in my ax-10 rtr? The only reason i am asking is the batterys are light and small enough to fit on my front axle. Because i ordered a tcs edge and i dont think that i will be able to fit a stick pack anywhere in the frame, and really dont want to spend anymore money on batterys because i bought 3 stick packs when i bought the rtr.

The batts are AA nicads and the ax- has a 27 turn motor geared pretty high. I'd say no , but if you happened to have the motor replaced with a 55+ turn and low gears for crawling then it would probably work ok other than when in a real bind. It may overheat the batts.

You can run them, You just wont get much power or run time. Maybe look into buying some nice saddle packs for your front axle. |

yea , wish i could afford the saddle packs right now but just bought(about 2 weeks ago) 3 stick packs and really cant afford another battery right now. thats why i am trying to find some one that can alter my battery's that i all ready have and convert them over to a split cell pack. I would do it my self but i don't feel real comfortable soldering right yet.

I think you are on the right track with reconfiguring your stick packs. Although you may be able to fit the stick packs in the Edge. You will have to make a small plate out of something but you should be able to run them. I would just put up a wanted add in the Wanted section. Just say you would like to find someone to reconfigure your packs. You are probably going to have to pay shipping at the VERY least. OR go to your LHS and see if they can help you out.

Bummer, we have a shop like that around here. I have been in there 4 times looking for crawler stuff and the guys are always jerkoffs. Now if I go in looking for a helicopter part, they are OK with me...... Where are you out of? There has to be someone close to you that will help. Electronics stores (Radio Shack) usually have some technogeek that will do it for the fun of it, you just have to ask.

| Try Stan at Allison Performance Hobbies in Newnan Ga. If he can't do it himself, he will know someone local ( at least in Ga. ) who will help you out.
