Default Rear steer with wheel instead of switch?

Anyone setup a controller for rear steer with a wheel instead of switch. I think it would work ok to control with my thumb. Is there a controller you can buy like that? Modify a tq3? Would it need to have a adjust so it would return to center?

I think I have seen someone instal a potentiometer (like a balance control on a stereo, manual centering) in a tq3.

I use a futaba 3PKS radio, and it has two thumb wheels on the grip. I programmed one of them on the third channel, and set the trim to make 20% jumps so it is proportional by steps, again, manual return to center.

Some thing like this...

Just grafted a wheel from a tq2 onto the case, and wired it where the switch used to be. i also replaced the 3rd channel trim with one from the tq2 and added EPA pots.
for more info on how its done see the sticky...
