Ok guys, it seems there problem is the drag brake, they bought goat esc only and added the 18.5 novak motor later, they have tried to program the drag brake with no luck.

I would have him try to setup the ESC again, perform the inital setup with the motor soldered and sensor wires connected.

If you still have problems, try turning the Dead Band "all the way up" to setting 5.

Charlie,
Any tips for setting the drag brake up? right now I have it set to 10 (highest setting) and it will roll on the slightest angle. Almost like no drag brake at all.

darkstar, are you running a goat system or just a goat esc and brushed motor? what pinion and spur gear?

Goat system. stock gearing right now. I was also using the stock gearing on my Rooster system as well, and the drag brake was awesome, and worked very well.
