| Tekin R1(RS) vs. MM vs. procar
Since the CC-sound ist a true nerve killer to me and the reverse-delay of the sky&tec-products can be a rig killer in tricky situations, has anyone had a Tekin R1 or Rs in a brushless-rig yet? I havenīt found any Tekin thread but fxr-related ones yet. Thanks. |

I don't run a brushless setup as the FX-R works so well and the brushed motors are just so smooth. However, I know guys that run the R1's and love them. I wish that I could give you some real world feedback but it's a rare combo in the crawling market. |

I have the MM and the procar. MM has way way better programing. Plug into the computer and you can adjust loads and loads of things. Throttle curve adjustment and motor settings are very very useful. The ESC controls the motor very well you get no errors, it's just like Bing it's moving and you can't stop it. In my opinion the best ESC ever made period. It's brushed mode is nice if you ever plan to later down the road jump to a brushed rig. Procar is lighter, has some what ok manual programing. It's throttle resolution is loads smoother. I can inch along with smooth snail like control unlike the MM. However, it's not without the occasional error. Under high stress at low speed it's not uncommon for the ESC to spool the motor the wrong way once it stalls. The esc isn't as durable as the MM either. I've had mine replaced do to poor soldering of the chips on the board. A good roll knocked some stuff loose. It's not uncommon to hear about similar situations either. Mine will do the occasional not work or respond either then work fine moments later. I love the MM over the Procar big time. However, the Procar has a much better throttle resolution then the MM. Startup and throttle smoothness are big advantages. A matter of fact it's the only reason I'm hanging on to my procar. |

the cc stuff is kick ass when it comes to programming it. thats for shure. i just took a borrowed sidewinder out of my rig last night. i just get a friggin ear issue with them. the friend i got the sidewinder to check out from told me the crawlmaster is not as noisy as cheapo china motors with cc. i also checked out the procar in a friends rig. noisewise itīs great. just the reverse-delay is to much for my taste. i think iīm just gonna go with CC. then iīm gonna get a helmet like dirk digler and no sound issues any more. :-D:-D:-D |

I am waiting for an RS to try out from Tekin, it has the same programming as the R1.
