C just stands for capacity so the capacity is multiplied by the number in front of it.

floogldood, that's a good one...

The "C" rating tells you how much current it is safe to draw from your battery. It's expressed in terms of the capacity C.
The C rating doesn't mean your motor will go faster or run for longer. It just means that if you ever want to use more current, by using the battery with a different motor or a bigger pinion, the 25C battery will allow more than the 15C version.

It is very simple math. 20 C stands for 20 times capacity.

a 2400 mah 20C = 48 amps.

OR a 2C x 2400 mah = 4.8 amps.

Ya the "C" rating is mulitplied by the capacity to get the constant amp draw. But it will absolutely effect runtime and power. A good analogy... If you have a pack that can handle 50 amps constant and always pull a constant of 50 amps, then the pack wont last long or have good cycle life even though it can handle it. Same if you were to drive your real car at top speed everywhere... the engine wouldn't last as long. But if you have a pack that can handle a constant of 75 amps and pull a constant of 50 amps, longer runtimes, more power and cycle life.

But beware, there are alot of false rated packs out there... Stick with name brands and you will never have any issues with false ratings. The brands I would stick with are: Polly Quest, Thunderpower, Polly RC Hyperion, and Elite.
