I'm pretty sure that most (if not all) of the Novak motors are sensor based... a sensored motor will not work very well with a sensorless esc. There isn't really anything you can do about it.

i was under the impression that the sensor was input to the esc not esc to motor? are there any inrunner motors that work? |

Castle Creations offers various inrunner motors with different kv ratings that will work. Try these

what kind of batteries are you running? what are you running it in? how heavy is the thing? I know alot of people who race with mamba maxx speed controls w/novak 13.5-6.5 turn motors. |

What size stick pack. I know all the guys here running in stampede's all run 4500mah packs or bigger. The sidewinder really drains some amps so if the batt can't handle it, it cogs real bad. A motor with that kv will have a hard time if its under load. You could try adjusting the curves and what not with the castle link. Or maybe you have to play with gearing. Thats just my experience with the sidewinder. Oh and I've heard that the sidewinder is not as smooth as the mamba. hope it helps mike |

And I don't know of any CC motor that costs that much. And regardless, none of the CC motors will crawl well. | |
