Default Traxxas Receiver's ?

Hi, I was wondering if there are any negative aspects to this receiver?

Traxxas 2216 micro 4ch receiver on 27am

I need more than 2ch's and the price looks attractive @ $29.00 at my LHS.

TIA, Eddy

The biggest downside is that it is 27mhz which limits you to only 6 frequencies and it is also AM. I bought a DX6i Spektrum radio at my LHS for $179. The advantage is it is DSM2 technology and 6 channel. Some people do not like a stick radio but when you can run so many other r/c's with it i think it is a good investment. Save the $29 and buy a better radio system than 27mhz and AM.....

Thanks for your input and I have to agree with you about 2.4
I have a lot of my airplanes on 2.4 and will never go back, but I have been into R/C for around almost 30yrs and have a lot of radio gear that is still good but older technology. I for now, am putting $ into my rig and a new radio will have to wait :-(
