| Mamba max ?
I have a mamba max with a 55t brushed motor, mamba bec, 8cel nimh, and spectrum. my problem is that I will be going along on a flat serface at full triger and about every 5sec it stops and if i gust blip the triger it will go. this is in both forward and rev. my other question is that when i set up the esc my crawler went in rev. so I reversed the throttle on the transmiter and it worked fine. but red on the esc is forward and green is rev,is this a problem ? or do I just interpret my curves in the programing as swaped. by the way I have an axial trans with the spur twards the front. Thanks, Kyle |

I have mine set up with a JR/Spektrum system and I cannot get the Mamba to work properly with it. I get about 3/4 power in forward and about 1/4 power in reverse. I've tried everything. I'm putting the JR radio back in my Nitro car where it works great and buying a different radio for my crawler. The JR R1 system has all kids of functions to work with a throttle servo but it SUCKS with the Mamba ESC :-(

Not the exact problem your having.....I've had some funny things happen with mine running a Max/DX3. Resetting all the trim settings to zero, rebinding and then setting the endpoints for the servo's has got everything back in order. IMHO,a good rule of thumb to use....whenever your hooking up a new radio or ESC,always set the trim settings to zero first. They can cause troubles with end points, not getting enough throw out of your steering or throttle settings. After the radios bound and every things working, then fine tune with the trim. As far as the lights on your ESC being backwards. It won't really hurt anything. If I'm not mistaken,my super is set up like that so the red is on when going forward and the green is on when in reverse. Works fine. Inside the Castle link software, the curves read the same as if the ESC was working the other way. |

Hey Kyle, I'm wondering if this is a problem with the RF link. Could you try doing a range check using the steering channel, by wiggling the steering left and right as you back away from the crawler to see if all is decent there? If that is OK then we can start looking for ESC, BEC, and radio/ESC programming issues. Earl "Narly1" Anderson |

Call CC and ask for Bernie, if he doesn't answer the phone. He's helped me out a couple of times with my Sidewinder.
