Default DS8711 Ultra Torque Servo ?

ne one have any thoughts or experience w/ this servo?

i was just offered a pretty good deal (well under 50% of the msrp) on a brand new one of these and was wondering if they were well worth the 199 dollar msrp

im currently using the hitec 645 mg and after burning up a couple of them ive wanted to upgrade to a digital servo

any thoughts or suggestions for this servo or other servos i should look into?

also would the aluminum servo arm be recommended w/ this servo? or are the stock servo arms for this pretty well made?

sorry for the noob question but ive only used hitec servos and have no experience w/ others

The JR 8711 is a badass servo, ranks right up there with the Hitec 5955. I run both and they are equally awesome
I usually run aluminum servo horns with any steering servo.

I just smoked my HiTec 5955TG, I'll probably get it repaired but the next new servo I purchase will most likely be the 8711, you get a few more oz/in of torque with the 8711 in comparison to the 5955 too.

You should buy the 8711 if the price is right

long story short this is the best servo out there right now.

BTW...you can also run this servo on 8v for rediculus performance.
