Default Spektrum DX6I question

I purchased a DX6I for my scaler and it arrived in the mail yesterday. I've never had more than a 3 channel remote before so lets just say this might be brain surgury.....Anyways my question is should the left side stick return to center like the right stick? Mine goes and stays whenever I put it even when I let go, but the right stick when I let go of it returns to center. The remote is a Mode 2 (US mode) style. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Helicopter/Aircraft radio...

Left stick control the power for the engine. On an helo you kinda want to have it stay where you put it.

mine does the same thing, but its ment for a heli. I find it funny being able to lift your finger off and the RC will keep going.

You can buy the parts from Horizon to convert the left(throttle) stick to center spring return.

Just call them up, I'm sure they can advise you.

You'll need it that way to have fwd & rev. with center off.

The part you would be asking them for would be Throttle Return Springs.
