Default Motor Help!

I need some help.. I need a motor that has tons of torque and still has some wheel speed. I am running a super with duel ESC's (Novak Super Rooster, and a Tekin FXR-pro) and a 3 cell li-po, with hand wound 70 turn motors. I like the performance of the 70 turn but I keep smoking my rear motor.

For the experts out there, what are my options? I have read a little bit about puller motors, but don't know a whole lot.

First, I would recommend getting two of the same esc. Either buy a new tekin fxr pro or a new rooster, whichever esc you like best. Second, a 35 turn on a 2s lipo makes a ton of torque with lots of wheelspeed; a 45 or 55 turn makes more torque but similiar wheelspeed on a 3s lipo. 70 turn motors seem a bit slow unless they are geared pretty high ( like a clod buster)

I need to clarify: I am using clod axles with 9t pinions. I am using a 4 channel radio so the front and rear are seperate (eliminating the need for 2 of the same ESC's), and I like the performance of the 70t motor, it just seems as though it doesn't have the torque needed.

So are you saying that a 45t motor produces more torque than a 70t motor?

Run 55 turns in the front and rear. I play around with gearing from a 9 tooth to a 6 tooth 3 cell LI-Ion (A123). Plenty of everything.

Ditch the 70's and run something in the 50's. Don't go too low like a 45 turn, this will hurt your torque.

70= most torque and no wheel speed.
55= plenty of torque and great wheel speed.
45= good for a rock racer or something you want fast with less torque then a 55 turn.

That is what I was kinda thinking. I didn't even know a 6t pinion was available until a few min ago. Is there enough gear contact with that little thing?

Get some adjustable motor mounts and they will fit perfect.
