| 2 Brushless - 1 ESC
According to all I can find - you cannot run 2 brushless motors on a single ESC - just would like some expert verification before proceeding - thanks

Actually from what I have read...you can do it... but its not as easy as just plugging them in. Firstly it can only be done when both motors are mechanically connected... by that I mean they both turn at the same speed at the same time, and will never get out of sync. Secondly... you need to make sure that the windings of the motors are in sync. So that means that coil 1 energises on both motors at the same time, then coil 2 , etc etc As far as I know, you can do this by using a small battery, like 1.5v or whatever... and lightly tap the 2 of the 3 wires on the battery (dont hold em on or you'll fry it)... which will rotate the motor to a certain point. If you do this on both motors, and get them lined up EXACTLY the same as each other.... you can then run 2 motors off the 1 esc. That said....I read this somewhere on the net... and havent tried it myself. You CAN buy a dual brushless motor for airplanes, where 2 motors share the 1 shaft... and I'm pretty sure they sell a special esc for it, which may just have more grunt, or it may actually support 2 motors... dunno. |

| that in itself will stop it. the motors will not be or stay in sync. not to mention finding an esc that will handle that much current

It can be done,,, on certain ESC and motor combinations. I would recommend instead that you use 2 ESCs connected by Y wire to the receiver.
