| Good rock racer motor?
I'm thinking of converting one of my crawlers to a rock racer. I'm thinking of using my Goliath due to it's inherent high gearing since it has a spool and is direct drive (no transmission) rather than my Scorpion which I prefer to retain in its crawler form. Any ideas out there on what would be a good motor/gearing combo for a Goliath as a rock racer???? Thanks!!

Nothing wrong with the Axial tranny as a rock racer. Might want to add a slipper, but otherwise it's pretty tough. Anyways, check out Holmes Handwound motors. Not sure what your gearing is, but he's got them in pretty much every turn available. Based on the reviews, they're the best out there for rock racing applications. |
