Default HH Cobalt 454

hey does anyone know what it takes to run on of these? Will it run in a AX-10 with stock tranny, on a sidewinder with 7 to 8 cells? and will it fit in the AX-10 with out modding?

That's a small motor for the Duratrax crawler and the like.

Too much power for the losi, but the sidewinder micro is fine.

50mm long from face to end, and 28mm diameter.

Thanks for the info John. So do you think if I ran the 454 at 50% power I'd still have breakage issues? The main reason I want to run the 454 is so I can reliably run a 3s LiPo (Losi says 2s max on the stock motor).

That might work, but it is still more weight and possiblity to break. I have 5 motors on the way for testing, I will find something more suitable.

I have SEVERAL packs through a Cliff Climber with the 454's in it. I am using a Novak Rooster Crawler and have tried 5,6 and 7 cell battery with them. I like the 5 cell battery the most. It makes the power band smoother and more controllable yet still delivers all the power you will ever need. These motors are AWESOME!
Thanks for the help John.
