No,it's not normal.

Is the ESC set on brushless?

The battery might be below the low voltage cut off.

Is the antenna touching the tires somewhere?

Might check the wheel nuts, they might be loose.

Could be a loose servo horn????

Missing body clip maybe?

Scratches in the lexan?

Hi its a brushed only esc wiht brushed motors

The battery could be below its voltage as it does it more offen when the battery is low but does it also when it struggles too with a full batt but its hard to make it do it then

antena is fine it only does it under load

Wheels nuts are all tight its DEFINATLY electronic related

Not servo horn ill try to get a video its DEFO the motors

And fianlly i dont run a shell

Thanks for the help though

VVVV EDIT VVVV

Best way to explain it is if i say what i thought it was.

its almost like when the motors get underlaod and they can hardly move/if atall the esc pulses current to the motors to try to make the motors spin, but odly wnough it does work if its struggling and it does this jerking/vibrating under massive load it usually makes it up what its doing lol.

I dunno if its a fault or if it is just a built in feature? it is a dedicated Crawler esc though.

Might check the upper links on the rear, they might be loose. Could be a froze bearing on the pinion inside the diffs.

Are you sure your foams haven't shifted to one side causing the tires to be off balance?

Its definatly 10001% electronic, if you hold the truck to a halt and press throttle you can see its the motors, and feel it too, im not a noob to RC i checked the obvius but never came accross this in all the years i been doing RC its really odd, it only does it when the motors are practically forced to a stop. its 100% defiantly the motors/esc doing this everything else is nice free spinning etc ill get a vid and you can see what i mean please read the edit above

Thanks

Could be a loose skid plate.

Maybe a broke body post,oh wait, you don't run a body. Could be a cracked body panel then.

Stop being a jerk. The guy is asking a serious question and all you can do is make up stupid stuff to goad him into getting mad at you.

The prolbem is the same one I am having. I think it has something to do with the low voltage cutoff in your ESC. It will not allow your car to go anywhere under a load at al. I am going to a lipo, so hopefully I have the problem solved.

how old, or how long have you had your motor?... is it possible that you have a bad brush?

Im not sure how old the motors are, they are worn a bit, but the motors do it at the same time as though its the esc casuing it, i think the otehr guy may be right in it being some kinda low voltage protector...

Thanks

Hey What esc are you running? And if its an external cut off is it the novak smart stop? Thats the cut off i use and when i get it under a lot of load the cut off freaks out. so if thats the cut off you use watch your little blue light.

hmmm mine was doing that after it was in pacific ocean . had a bit a fun, but anyways I cleaned the motor and put new brushes and its fine now. I cleaned the comm, with that rubber piece or sand paper looking square and its 100% better, try that and see if it helps

It could be the battery, if the battery isn't good enough the motors (under an extreme load) could cause the current to dip very low then the motors stop rotating allowing the battery to regain its voltage again. All this repeating several times in a short period could cause it to feel how you desribed.

what kind of batteries? if it's lipo could it be the low voltage cutout on the ESC causing the problem.

Thanks for heads up. it is a novak esc im not running lipo though. i do think it may be some kinda low volt cut off but thing is it does it even on FULLY charged batts too

if it is an esc capable of handling lipo like the rooster crawler make sure it's not setup for lipo's and is setup for nimh/nicd.
