Default Are these items compatable?

OK guys I am thinking of going lip0 but I really am unfirmiliar with it. I was looking at this combination.

Ckrc 11.1Volt Lipo Pack
http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...oducts_id=1120

And this Charger Onyx 230
http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...roducts_id=917

The part that has me confused is the "Balance connector" I think it is called. So I guess my real question is Does this Onyx charger come with one? Or can you adapt one to it? And if so where do you buy them because I have not seen them laying around anywhere that I have looked. (But I am also kind of unsure what I'm looking for). Thanks for the help hope to get an answer soon. -Snake-

That charger doesn't have an internal balancer, it is a straight charger only. You can pick up an external balancer for it made by several manufacturers, most work by discharging one or more cells so they all match and then you can fully charge them.

Some chargers will do both which is the type I use (I have three of them now). Some people say you don't need to balance but last week at the track one of those people asked me to check his pack and the cells were indeed out of balance. Would it cause problems, not really since he never runs it down where the voltage is too low but a basher can do that and perhaps ruin the pack.

My fave charger is the FMA Direct 4S, it is totally plug and play and can charge up to 4A. However, it is DC and only charges Li-po, Li-Fe, Li-ion and A123 cells. Cost is about $60-$70.

Thunder power has a really neat charger that will charge all battery chemistries up to 10A but again it is DC. It is not plug and play but has a few battery memories so you can load the setup for the pack you plan to charge. Cost about $130.

Thanks that's good info. Another question I have is ckrc has a balancer that would connect with a charger. Is the above mentioned Onyx charger compatible with that balancer? The balancer says it will not work with a two pin charge lead. What is that? and is this battery and charger compatible? Sorry for all the questions but electronics are not my cup of tea.
