Default FXR Voltage limit?

I just acquired a Tekin FXR (TT1091). I bought this ESC because I read somewhere that it could handle 3S Lipo (~11.1V) with motor turn 35T and above. I am putting it in my WK with a Novak 55T motor. But when I read the instruction that came with the ESC it says 4~7 cells Nicd/Nimh or 2S Lipo. Maybe they meant when used with the ultimate motor limit, but I can't confirm if its true that I could use 3S Lipo with a 55t motor. So, can I plug a 3S into my FXR with a 55T without frying it?

They changed the specs after testing what crawler guys were actually using it for. Check the website for the new spec sheet. What it says in the box isnt correct on the sheet. Ive been running 9.6v (8 cells) consistantly since I got the ESC a few months ago. I also ran 12v (10 cells) a couple times with no heat or operational issues.

Yup, anything over a 35T, you're good to go with 3S!

How long have you been running it? I havent ran mine but, a few times so far. Have you checked the temp gauge after running? Mine was about 3/4 lit up.

I have ran it several times testing the rig in assembly/design of it (it's almost 100% custom ;) ) I ran it in a 3 course comp this past weekend, and the only trouble I had was my battery going dead AT the LAST gate lol. 5pt repair, and tossed my spare battery on top of the rig and rolled the last 4 feet out of the course. I haven't checked the temp gauge on it, I guess I should do that next time lol But, I haven't had any issues to speak of as of yet.

I'll be running 50T hand wounds in special TI cans...I have a 2S and 3S pack. I'll try both to see...

The Tekin will thermal shut down, not just Burn up correct?

You run 2 x 35T with 3S? That's like running a 17T with 3S Now the FXR is really tough! You sure you'r not running a FXR-Pro? Or, maybe you'r running the motors in series?
