| Castle BEC Issues ... thumbsup to CC though
Over the past week I have had 3 out of 5 CC BECs not link up with my software. The first was already being used and now is dead... totally dead. Tried to do a firmware update with Castle Tech Support and it failed. The other 2 were working fine as BECs but I tried to get in to change the voltage and the units would never link up. I haven't tried them to see if they still work but I sure hope they do until my replacements get here. The two that linked up successfully are newer units so this may only apply to older units. Castle Creations themselves have come through like a champ and are sending me new units. I'm happy for the awesome support but has anyone else had this issue? |

I have 3 working CC BEC's and two that burned up due to a wiring mistake on my part. Every one of them has linked up just fine. Too bad you've had problems but I'm glad to hear Castle's customer support came through for you. |

Out of the 500 or so I have programmed, I have run into two bad ones. I had one go bad on me personally, and a few customers that had bad ones. Castle took care of it though. Sounds like they had a few bad ones go through production, and you got em all!

Looks like one of the units I cannot reprogram still functions, so at least I have something until my replacements get here. Yeah, I tried all sorts of things with tech support. I ended up cutting them off of my ESC wires totally and still nothing. I've only done 10 or so of these and these are the only problems I have ever had. I know I reprogrammed them before too. It's weird but I'm really impressed with their replacement policy |

I've got 3 that I've been running quite a bit on 3 different rigs without any problems at all. Only weird thing is that two of them link up to the software without any problems, and the other one for some reason I have to have the battery plugged up in the truck before it will link up. Never really figured that out since the BEC powers up through the Castle Link, but for whatever reason that one has to also have a battery connected.
