Default Quark 33 Pro-Car question

I am having a little heat issue with my Quark33 (Q33) and I don't want to fry it. I took my truck out to some rocks last weekend with a buddy and it worked fine for a while, but then it started to lag, I felt the esc and it was hot, I unplugged everything and let it sit. A day later I tested it and it worked fine, I constantly kept checking the esc and it was getting warm but the motor is staying relatively cool.
I am running a Hyperion 3013-16, AX-10 trans, 12T pinion, 87T spur, 2.2 tires. Is the 3013 too much motor for the Q33, or is there something else I need to change?

Thanks for any help.

Also, does anyone have the Q33 Pro-Car manual in PDF format? I downloaded the reg Q33 manual but the programming seems to be a little different for the car specific model.
