Question Can i use a Futaba 3PK for a Clod or Berg style DIG?

For example if I install a Rizzo DIG in my CLOD can I activate it with the Futaba 3PK without having to modify it like adding some extra switch like on a TQ3 (not that I've heard of this mo for this radio)?
Or should I just order a TQ3 from the US? Being in Japan I have a few 3PKs being sold used around etc.

Thanks!!!

How might you be getting 3 positions out of any button on the 3PK.

I have used it before to shift a transmission, but that is only one of two positions.

Most Digs need to have 3, a right, center, and left to get the full effects out of the dig unit.

How, or what might you be doing to get a dig to work that way?

As was already stated in this thread, you don't need to do anything, it can be set up to be a 3 position 3rd channel. I am using one now on my Berg. You just need to be able to read the instructions.

Even easier. I love that radio. No mods necessary. I ran one for a good while till I got my Multiplex 7 channel and 3PK.

You can find the PDFs pretty cheap.

Yes, it can be run from the 3PK, but not the way I was wanting to use it. I was wanting to use the button that is on the grip. I have used this before on nitro cars for a fast idle, or to activate anti-lock brakes, but it will ONLY do 2 postions.
I had to assign it to one of the dials, or other switches to get it to go three way, that is why I was asking how you were doing it
Answer has been found now though.

You can assign it as a 3 position switch to one of the trim buttons (the ones around the steering wheel). I assigned mine to three different places (trim switches DT1 and DT3, and the slider knob for thumb behind throttle), but the trim around the wheel is the most comfortable/natural feeling for me. You can also rotate your wheel assembly to get that trim switch in a position where it feels the best and is easiest to use. The one I've settled in on is DT3 rotated up to about the 1:45 position.

If the two are actually about the same cost for you, GET THE 3PK!!! There is so much you can do with it, one of the most basic necessities being setting end points.
