Default sidwinder questions

I am going to be getting the axial artr and i was thinking about getting the sidewinder esc and an integy 55t motor or the navak crawler brushed kit. With the sidewinder can the integy motor plug into it and how do I put tamiya style plugs on it?

The Sidewinder comes with 4mm bullet plugs...so you will need to solder leads to the motor with those size plugs. The power wires come open (no plug) so you can solder either a Tamiya or deans plug...whatever you choose. Here is a pic:

If you are planning on getting this ESC, it would be a good idea to also pickup a Castle Link. It really helps with custom programming of the ESC.

And X2 on getting the Castle Link. You will have to change the motor setting from Brushless to Brushed for the Integy motor. I have 3 Sidewinders now and I love em.

I use these...

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXTJ21 from motor, cut off the bullet connectors and soldier these...

Also, as mentioned above, buy the castle link for programming. It's set to run brushless motors from the factory. Won't work with an integy. You must change it.

for added security, buy the CC BEC. I didn't at first but needed to later on in the build. Castle Creations recommends using it in their sidewinder

here's a tamiya plug set...

good luck
