If you can find a Dx3 around they were pretty common b/c of there 3 position 3rd channel. Dx3R's that are out now also have 3 pos 3rd channel but not really in your price range. Some use Tq3's but they don't have epa's which will burn out your dig servo. There are some threads on how to put in epa settings but by the time you go through all that effort you might as well buy a decent radio.

if you can find a MX3 you can do the 3 pos switch mod and be good to go! or a JR XR3. you should be able to find either of them for arround 75. or a futaba 3pm. |

| I am horrible with modifying anything electric. I would need a 3 position switch right? Does any of those radios you mention have that capability? I might just remove the Dig all together. I would not have bought knowing that my radio needs a expander to operate the 3rd channel.

If you wanted a really cheap radio try finding the old 3ch. that came with a T-Maxx. I bought a Savage when they first came out and I am using the stock radio it came with. They are both only 2 position switches but I am looking into modding my HPI to add a 3 position for rear neutral.

Even find a Futaba 3PKS. It'll replace you're KO and do everything and more the KO won't do. I used to run the KO and yes it is very comfortable. Another option, if you sell the KO, is the DX3R. Personally, I can't stand the feel of it but it's a great radio from the people I know that do use it.

If you can find one, a Multiplex Profi 403 is a great pistol radio. 7 channels, synthesized(AM & FM), rechargable battery, light weight and fits your hand great. I run one in my "comp" rig, and I works great. Only problem with it, is that it is 2.4gh.
