Default Case deforming on TowerPro MG995..?

The setup:

CC Sidewinder
CC BEC - set at 6V
3s 1320 lipo
WK axles/trans
HHHW 55T
F/R steer
TQ3 w/ SPDT for rear steer.

I bought 5 TowePro MG995s when I put this rig together. 4 of them have "broke".

I took all them apart and it seems that the case it getting hot and deforming and letting the gears slip. The gears are not actually breaking. The hole/carrier spot in the case where the gear shaft rides is deforming and letting the gears move out of contact...

Is this a common problem?

I know they are crappy servos.

Yeah it is a huge problem with them. I ran them for awhile but just gave up and went to a quality servo like a Hobbico CS170 or a Hitec 5955. After the 4 I burnt up I realized I could have been running one nice servo the whole time and never had any downtime. I have beaten the crap out of my 5955 and Hobbico CS170's and never had a problem other than bending servo arms.

Hobbico CS170's are only like $80!

Every TP servo I've ever had, with the exception of a single 945, has failed due to internal gear misalignment/strippage (1 945 and 4 995's failed)

They are ok servos for a budget build, but you have to expect them to fail. I ponied up for a pair of 7955TG's and have'nt looked back.

To TP's credit, I have had excellent customer service from them for a couple replacement's. Of the 6 TP servo's I've had, I actually paid for 2 of them. Christine at TowerPro sent me 2 replacements and 2 other servos for free. Customer service is one point of TP's business that I can't fault, it has been excellent. So overall I've had worse luck with other stuff I guess.

R2J is TowerPro's U.S. distributor, maybe he can help...
