Default 1500mah vs 3000mah split pack

I'm very new to this sport, well i'm returning anyway... The last I knew batteries with a higher mah rating ran longer. Why am i not seeing companies selling like 3000mah NiMh split packs 7 or 8 cells for the scorpion front axle?

The cells in split packs for crawlers are 2/3 cells which arent as big as your full size batteries in other rc cars. So right now the best you can get out of 2/3 cells are around 1500

Not in split packs for the front axle though. You are talking about subC cells right?
