| noobie battery ???s
ok i'm building a crawler i've done tons of reading on here and decided on a super class. just built some clod axles with locking spools in them, and have 55 turn motors. what i'm wanting to know is what all the number define on a battery??? example; 3600 mAh, 4800mAh. is the higher number better? also i'm wanting to run the batteries in the wheels like i've seen on here a couple times and they say sub-c batteries will work, how do i know which batteries those are, i've never really seen anywhere that they call them sub-c. p.s. ive done several searches with no luck. sorry for the rookie questions, but i wanna learn dmill |

mah is your runtime. It stands for milli amp hour. 3600mah is 3.6 amp hours, so you could draw 3.6 amps for one hour before the battery dies. More Mah is more runtime. It is also more weight. Sub-C is any typical RC pack. Check out cheapbatterypacks.com for a rundown on cell sizes. Browse through the nimh catagory. | I would not run your batteries in your wheels! I'm assuming you are talking about a split pack which goes next to the front wheels and straddles your servo. They are a great investment and pretty cheap. Just strap them to your axle and go. It will really help get your COG lower. I would suggest an 6,7, or 8 cell 2/3A pack and skip the subC stuff. Check out the vendors here and see what they have.

He is talking about knuckle packs, common for clods.

I had no clue something like that existed. I usually stay on the AX10 side of things. I just searched it and learned a lot. Sorry about the previous post and good luck on your battery selection.
