| Servo Cities` "Gear-motors", suitable for crawling?
I was prowling about the servo city web site and came across their gear-motor section, http://servocity.com/html/3-12v_gear_motors.html . I was wandering if anyone has adapted one of these to work with a speed control? It seems to me that one of these might make for an excellent power plant, for availability of torque and compactness. I welcome your thoughts, opinions, and constructive criticisms. Thanks. |

They produce alot of torque. It could be some thing to look in to. Only problems I see are low rpms and mounts. |

They sell mounts on the same website, and the low rpm could come in handy. Just think, no transmission needed...just a transfer case (shaft-driven applications). |

There is a whole industry dedicated to motion control. Anaheim Automation, Faulhaber, Micromo are just a few of the manufacturers. I have thought at one time of using a gearmotor in a scale application.
