| 55T+14:1 reduction+7.2v= what rpm?
anyone know what rpm this would produce? and what torque it would produce? basically im trying to find one of these http://www.servocity.com/html/3-12v_gear_motors.html to use with a 1:1 t-case on a scaler. from this thread it seams final reduction after spur/pinion/tranny etc the reduction is around 12-16:1 single output trans for use with t-case??? so basically i wanna see if i can get one of these on 7.2v to be the same wheelspeed and still be able to move the truck. possible? |

all those units are rated at there 12v max I dont think any of the units would be a good option unless the motor can be switched out to a standard 540, then you might have somethin. the big output is nice on them.

55T motors are about 950 rpm/volt. Good handwounds like the HHH's are about 980 rpm/volt. So on 7.2v the motor will spin: 950 x 7.2 = 6840 rpm With a 14:1 gear reduction the output shaft would spin: 6840 / 14 = 488.5 rpm To find torque, multiply the motors torque by the gear reduction but I don't know the torque output of a 55T motor. Gear reduction increases torque output. |

Great Calculators. Plug in the 950kv for the 55T and the rest of your info. Could plug in your Tcase also. http://www.scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/_top_speed.html |
