Default Which charger?

I'm looking for a good charger that has nimh/nicd 10cell capacity and also has both of the lith-lipo capabilities under $130? What are the best options?

Look at the Hyperion line up. I am using the 606i, and loving it. I am an on road racer and offroad racer as well as a crawler and I am using this charger exclusively now.

IMHO,the Hyperion EOS0606I AC/DC Charger is one of the best, most verstile options on the market. It's all that AND a bag of chips.

From AAA cells to D size cells,it'll work. To my knowledge,it'll do any kind of lipo.

You can find those for cheaper at other places (10-20 dollars cheaper).
They are probably the best chargers!

Yes it will charge the NiMh's and discharge them. Not a very high discharge rate so for that I would get a discharger of some kind. But stepping up into the LiPo/Li whatever, it will be a great charger. It will charge lead acid batteries (real car) as well.

I have used a Triton from Elelectrafly for probably five years now....covers all the functions and price you are looking for.
programable discharge
programable cycling modes for nicad/nimh
charges 1-4s lipo and lead acid batts
the only thing it can't charge is the A123 type cells (maybe the newer ones can??)
This charger needs a 12v DC power source, can't plug into house current

Every lipo I've put on my Triton....has swelled half way through the charge. Since I can only use it out in the field, and it won't charge my 3 cells, needless to say,it stays put up. A balancer would probably fix the issue, why buy more junk though. IMHO,your better off with a all in one charger.

I'll admit,it has done a decent job on my NiMH cells. When they come off the Hyperion though,my NiMH cells are cooler and run longer.

I agree with some of the other stuff that has been said. We had a couple guys locally that couldn't get a charge on a receiver pack. Change the peak detect to 9mv/cell and it would still false peak. Tried a different charger just to try something different and rule stuff out, they charged perfectly on other chargers. Even verified the battery capacities and stuff on a Competition Electronics Turbo 35.

Basically, for the money you'd spend on the Triton, get yourself the Multiplex charger. For a little bit more, et the Duratrax Ice, or one of the new Duratrax Onyx chargers. But if you want to be done with it, get the Hyperion.

Lots of places support crawling.

Would you pay more for a car because that particular brand or dealer supports full-size rock crawling? Doubt it...

Actually, I would.....and I have! I was into 1:1 crawling before the rc's!

Do what you want to do! I'll continue to support the vendors that support us! And Holmes is #1 when it comes to electronics in my opinion!!
