Default CC BEC and Novak HV Maxx ???

I posted this on the Novak thread but thought someone else might have an answer also.

-I am modding a TXT that has a Novak HV maxx system into a super crawler. It will have two hitec 5955 servos for steering and twin 6 cell packs. When I ran it prior to modding it I had problems with the servos drawing out more than the receiver could handle and shutting down the ESC. I have a Castle 10 Amp BEC that I think will solve the problem but am not sure how to best wire it in. I have read lots of posts and articles but still have some questions. I know it is not the ideal crawler esc or setup but since I already spent the money and like the huge power and torque it provides I want to give it a shot.

1. Do I disconnect the external 6A BEC that came with the Novak HV ESC or leave it?
2. When wiring the BEC into the battery lead wires does it matter which set I tap the BEC in to (there are two pairs on the ESC since it runs twin packs).
3. If properly installed does the BEC provide continuous amps to the servos or the ESC?

Thanks for your help.
