Default Cheap tx with 3 position switch installed

While I was messing with my rc stuff I noticed that the transmitter of my kyosho MFR uses a 3 position switch for reverse neutral and forward. Naturally I tried to use it in my ax 10 with an HR dig.

It works quite well but there are drawbacks:

A) This tx is budget stuff and has no EPA or DR to trim servo travel but I trimmed using appropriate holes in the servo horn.

B) It is a simple 27mhz am tx which does not bother me since I usually hold it 2 feet away from the model (I am very short)

C) The rx is HUGE twice the size of a typical airtronics 3channel blue rx.

Now for the pros:

A) It is very light even with 8AAs installed

B) Unbelievably reliable, I have happened to use a similar perfex tx with an rc boat for more than 6 years by the sea (salt!) on the beach and generally has never failed me, it is kyosho after all.

C) It is cheap!!! I saw them go on ebay.co.uk for about 35 to 45 euros or around 50$.

D) It is very ergonomical for my liking since the 3 position switch is easily usable with the throttle thumb.

E) Since it is not computerized, a set of dry cells lasts for bloody ages!!!!

F) it is compatible with other brand 27 am rx, I tried with a Futaba rx and worked great.

The exact model is Perfex KT-10. I do not know if this is of any help to anyone but sure helped me avoid tinkering with other txs I have since here in Greece rc stuff is still quite expensive.

Thank you for reading!!!
