| DX3R Lipo Mod?
I swear I saw it on here once before, but can't find it now. Anybody care to hook a brotha up with any info on how hard it is to add a lipo to a dx3r, or a writeup on it?

| http://losi.com/Products/Features.aspx?ProdId=LOSB9609 http://losi.com/Products/Features.aspx?ProdId=LOSB9820 I used both of these, just pull you the stock tray and splice the regulator inline with power to the switch and the lipo plugs right in. I also used a piece of foam to keep pressure on the lid because once you take out the tray there is no pressure to keep it latched. The only thing I did is take the light off the board because it draws more current. I leave the battery plugged in and everything and it is absolutely amazing how long this thing lasts on a lipo. The losi regulator shows 5.9 volts on the screen, I have the low voltage on the radio set at 5.8, so if worst comes to worst the radio will let me know when the pack is too low, but it takes a long time to get there. If you want pics let me know, I can post them tonight |

How many hours do you get with just regular batteries with that radio????????? I was worried when I got mine and noticed that it only took 4 batteries opposed to 8 |

Don't be worried. I use the Duracell Nimh rechargables, I've had the radio for about 8-9 months and only had to recharge twice. I do a lot of driving with it too. You will be amazed

My question is.... Why would you even bother converting DX3R to Lipo?? I get 12+ hours of run time out of regular rechargable AA's |

Why not? lol, nah really it's just kinda a slight case of the itch to do some tinkering while I'm between projects. No other reason, the stock battery setup works just fine, I'm just not one to leave well enough alone haha |
