Default Anybody running these lipos?

Ok so my poor head has been just spinning from searching here and searching on the web for all the lipo's out there...

I am running the Novak goat so I am stuck with a 2 cell 7.4volt pack.

So I am also trying to find the smallest pack I can for ease of fitment...

Is anybody running these lipos?

http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...an=ELT&cat=E15

They are the Elite 1100mah 2s 15C and size is 2.17 x 1.34 x 0.73in

Any input would be great. Most the packs I am finding in the 1300-1600 mah range are close to 4" long...

If I remember right, you're using either a Hitec5955 or the Hobbico equivalent for steering. What servo are you using for your dig? 16amps isn't a whole lot, but you could get by on it. Biggest thing about lipo's is make sure they can supply enough amps for your application. If you are constantly drawing the max amps, then you then the amount of cycles goes down(maybe 30 or so) before loss in performance. If you don't strain the pack, you can get around 300 cycles or more. You always want a lipo that is overkill for your application, to last a long time

Holmes is having some made that are a little longer than that one, but with a lot higher amp rating http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=22&page=1

They're great cells. I built a 2s3p with them for my b44 and they worked well. But it all depends on your amp draws. You may want to go a little bigger for when you get in a bind, but they are sweet cells for their size

Way to big for your application I think Mike: about 93mm long. They actually rub the spur gear nut at full flex. I mount mine behind the steering servo, between the upper links, as close to the driveshaft as possible for lowest CG. I'm looking at these to handle my amp draw needs soon http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...an=ELT&cat=E35
Here's another alternative Chris has, a little longer than the other you listed with 21amps, but only 700mah so you'd need a couple for a comp or charge between runs http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/mai...an=PRC&cat=PXQ
or this one works good too at 27amps, more expensive though http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-1100-74-Pack.htm
or this one is right up your alley for size and plenty of amps(I use it in my mini Losi) http://www.maxamps.com/products.php?cat=47 but again would need 2 or charge between runs at a comp.

Not sure if this helps but I had maxamps make me a battery for the gf's ax10. It's just 2 of the 7.4volt 1100's put together. It's a perfect fit on the front axle next to the steering servo. She runs the goat with a 5955 servo, no bec needed. She also has a maxamp 1100 but she wanted to try a little extra weight on the front, also now she has LOTS of runtime
