Default Slash ESC question?

Im having some trouble with my slash not running right. When I hit the throttle it will only go real slow and it wont get goin full speed like it used too. I thought it was the motor goin bad, so I put a different one in and it does the same thing. Esc maybe?

What typw, and how old is the battery?

sounds like it is in trainer mode, that only gives 50% power.

The battery is a venom 7 cell 3000mah nimh, and I dont think it is very old. I forgot about it having trainer mode too. Ill look in to that before I replace the esc.
