can you run lipo's with stock esc on the RTR ax10?

you just need a LVC, and as long as you don't exceed the number of cells that the ESC is rated for it should be okay.

I take it LVC stands for low voltage cuttoff If so what brand do you recommend?

sorry, yeah its a Low Voltage Cut off, and I know Novak makes ones, not sure who else makes any

Voltage is voltage no matter what the battery chemistry is.

like dorji and scattman said yea u can just dont exceed the number of cells the esc is rated for..im going to run a 7.4v lipo from losi but some good brands are maxamps,thungerpower,losi,and ive seen some guys run greatplane lipos..just make sure u dont get a cheap lipo ;)

Well, that is not what you originally asked. You asked if you could use a lipo with that ESC.

Now you are asking if you can program the ESC with different cut-off points and the answer to this different question is no.
