| bec help guys
Hey guys, I am a newb to the brushless stuff. can someone explain what a bec does and do i need it if i was going to put a sidewinder and 5700 in a basher?

BEC is the power your speed control supplies to your reciever and servo's. A castle creations BEC replaces the BEC from your speed control and supplies a lot more juice (amps) and voltage ,user adjustable. In a basher with one servo the stock BEC output of the esc should be fine.

BEC is Battery Elimination Circuit. This allows you to eliminate the need for a receiver pack. Like BLUEJEEP said, on a basher with one servo, you shouldn't need it. But if you start running multiple digital servo, then you would want to run an external BEC.
