Hi, Not sure if this is the place to ask this question but, I'm running a axial ax-10 (soon to be SPV2 Chassis, just ordered) I'm using a traxxas receiver and the antenna is at least a foot long. I would like to get ride of the length so it's not sticking out all over. Can I wrap the antenna around a piece of plastic or something, or will that mess with the signal strength? Or is there any aftermarket antenna's available? |

I like to take part of the plastic that I cut off from the body mold and drill a bunch of small holes in it and bolt it to the truck. This helps keep the antenna away from other wires and spreads it out some to help with the signal reception. Here is a picture of my old setup (before I switched out this Rx for a Spektrum): |

That's a pretty sweet antennae setup...

Thanks. It's simple, but it works. I had no glitching with that setup.

Thanks, I was thinking of maybe cutting the tube in half (that the wire goes thru) and wrapping it around the outside and wire tying it. then hiding most of it the frame with a little exposed. Don't know if that will cause interference or not. |

Thanks. I forgot to add that I usually tape the end of the wire to one side of the lexan. You can just barely see the tape running horizontally on the right hand side. |
