| mounting batteries on servos
can i mount my battery on the servo (its the length of the axle)until i can get a smaller one or will they get to hot its a hitec 645 servo and 3s lipo...........thanks mike

the guy at the lhs said not to mount on the servo. he said they would get to hot i didnt think it would just wanted to make sure ,ive seen many on this sight with them on the servo.thanks for the reassurance

Hi There are some aftermarket plates, or you could even make one yourself out of Kydex plastic that would hold both the servo and the battery. It depends on how handy you are. The only reason I can think of why not to do it is that you would have a "sprung" mass above the servo, and this might be a little too much for your servo mount. I really don't think heat would not be problem on a servo in this application. (RC truck) Good luck with your build! -Migs |
