| Good low budget radio for crawling around the house
I've got 2 AX10's 1 for me,other for my son.My new one has the stock Axial radio,my sons has a Futaba T2PH radio. They both work fine but I was just curious as to what a good low budget radio would be for just crawling around my house /farm,not going to be in a compitetion or anything. THANKS JEFF |

If you don't plan on competing, I don't see a need to change radios. If you plan on installing DIG, you need a 3 channel radio. It all depends on what your plans are....... I would recommend a Futaba 3PM, a great 3 channel radio, 2.4g Fasst for under $200.

"Dig A feature of the drivetrain that allows a driver to enguage only the front or rear axle while the other axle is left to freewheel or is locked. When the front axle is being driven, this is "front dig." When the rear axle is driven, it's "rear dig." Dig is used to negotiate tight turns and avoid reverse penalties." Im going to be getting a 3pm fasst unit myself. after reading up one it, seems like a wicked set-up for a great price. |

Personally I have modded Tq3's on all of my rigs, as does everybody else I crawl with and we have no preoblems whatsoever with them. | |

3PM is a great radio, but not for crawling. The 3rd channel is a pain to set up for three-position.

Ya but if you dont plan on going any comps(you still can with this radio) and not get rear steering and/or dig, 3pm is good. If you are serious and going to enter comps. 4pk. but they are big bucks. Dx3r is good radio too, that can pretty take care of all your crawling needs. Even if you do get dig, i think there are a few threads oh "how-to" set it up on a 3pm. IMO 3pm is soild choice. |

i have both . 3pm. 4pk. both are great radios. the third ch switch is a breeze to set up. no peoblems what so ever. i was running the 3pm in one of my Baja 5b and got over 1000 feet range on it. 4pk the same. i would go with the 2.4 gig setup. theese are good radios. |

I got a tq3 for my spare rig. I bought it with the end point adjustments and 3 position 3rd channel switch already installed, with receiver. http://xtreme-rc-hobbies.net/store/p...roducts_id=351 |
