| new spektrum dx5, with traxxas xl-5 esc, motor?
i just purchased a DX-5 and have been using the xl-5 esc off my stampede on my crawler. The xl-5 typically had immediate reverse to forward, but to get to reverse you have to brake, then go to reverse. My problem is I flipped my tran and reversed the setting on the dx5 so now my forward to reverse is instant with no braking which isn't good on an incline. my question is, Would it harm the motor to switch the leads and flip the receiver switch back? also my motor is a novak 55 any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks |

It is fine to swap the motor leads around.

thanks for the info, I switched the leads, but was noticing a significant speed difference between forward and reverse. I read the specs on my esc, and it throws different amperage between the 2 so I had rig up some wiring, and got it running normal again.
