Default FX-R problems

Alright so first off I'm running:

Berg Axles
Fx-r
35t tekin motors
cc bec
e-flite 3cell lipo
Spectrum dx3r

My problem is that I can't get any low speed throttle control. It's better in reverse but going forward there is no really slow crawl. it just jumps forward.

Anybody got some ideas?

Just sounds like some simple adjustments give us some info on the Fxr settings you have set and how your radio is set-up also

Check the punch control on the esc and the radio. Should be able to adjust it to get better drivability

Okay so the radio settings are

Throttle expo, 0
travel at 100%
reverse at normal
sub trim at 30

FXR settings are

drag brake %50
reverse strength at 100
current limit off
push control off
cut-off set for 3cell

With this I get very little low speed control.

Well, there's no need for your sub trim to be at 30.

I'd zero everything out, reprogram the ESC again with your radio at zero and see what's up.

Zero'd everything and re-calibrated the esc, a little better but still not great.

Any chance the tx has the throttle reversed??? And with that the motors wired in reverse to match the reversed tx??

You soldered the cap on right?

Here, try a factory reset. Pretty sure you hold down both buttons, then turn the unit on while holding down the buttons for like three seconds, or whenever the Tekin chimes at ya.

If you don't wanna try it first, I'll try one of mine first.

Yes cap is soldered on. reset the esc. I get descent low speed in forward now but not so good in reverse. But it's a lot better.

Factory reset? Or just reprogrammed it?

Well then, after a factory reset, and reprogramming with your radio completely zero'd, it's time to send Tekin an email. Be sure to mention everything you've done up to the point of the email. The more specific you are, the less back and forth with the emails it will be.

I think that you have it narrowed down to the ESC. But you might also want to tweak is the motor timing. Set it to zero, that will be the best setting for low speed control. However, you might find another setting that you like better.
