| How to run more than 3ch with 3ch radio?
I have asked some one if it is possible to run say 4-5 different channels with a 3ch radio before and they said I would need a 555 servo to keep rear steer straight when not being used and just run a manual switch to pick which feature is being used. Is this possible? I've never heard of a 555 servo but I do see I'll need a signal to keep the rear in place. I have searched google like crazy and have found may drawings on making one but I really would just rather buy one, anyone know where I can? I'm trying to run rear steer, then be able to switch to front dig, and maybe a winch just for kicks. Any info would be great, thanks!

your best option would be the PUNK RC servo stretcher. from my understanding it does just want you want, by making one channel *(say your 3rd cnl) usable on 2 things, like steering and winch or Dig. its the only thing im aware of that will do most of what your looking to do. |

Where can I pick one up? Is it something that goes on the radio or the truck?

search PUNK RC here on teh forum. i dont own, have used, or seen on personally , but understand it works great. i believe it goes to the RX channel you want to "stretch" (ie use multiple things on like Dig/Winch).

I found someone on here that has one and says it only lets you do right, left, and neutral. He said it wouldn't work. I have never hard wired a servo, but is there a way to say cut one wire that would keep it from getting any signal other than being on (to not move). If so I could wire a switch that would turn off the signal wire to the rear steer and turn on another servo. Just a thought would be great if it's possible but I don't know exactly how the three wires work.
