im not sure on the light kit. does it have a controller unit? or is it just lights ect? if it has a controller, the controller will plug into a chosen channel and you ll need to set the channel up to run them. if it doesnt have a light controller, i dont think you ll be able to get them to work. in which case its an on/off switch on the rc. |

Do you mean which slot in the receiver? If you tried hooking it up as described in the manual and it doesn't work, try 2 free slots/channels. Everything will work except brakelights and indicators. I don't know why but somehow the DX6i and the 3racing-lightkit don't like each other. The lightkit works fine with a DX3. |

you won´t get it controlled by your radio. it´s got a power-plug that goes into your receiver and a push button to turn it on and off. if you want to get it radio controlled, you must get an extra piece of electronics that can handle the receiver signal an interpret it whether to supply your thingi with power or not. you´ll still have to handle the switch problem. The easiest and cheapest way is to get used to it. |

thats becuz it is getting its power thru the rx. but the White Activation wire on servo wires is what does the controlling. so when you plug it into the rx, i suspect the activation wire (usually the white or yellow wire depending on servo brand) is just blank. so basicall your rx is just passing power to the lights, without control. PUNK RC has a unit in the works (light controller) that is very scalable and would work well with this setup. but currently there are a couple others i know of. well i cant find the one unit from Eaglesview Motorsports that was in development last summer. not sure if Paul has went to production, back burnered them, or scrapped the project all together. but i know for a fact CBE (Custom Baja Electronics) has a unit coming out very soon. i read 2 weeks ago, it should be out any time. the light controller is Small (1/2 x 1/2 x 1 inch) and has a couple "headlight" channels, and a couple Tail light channels one with a programmable Brake light function. keep an eye on this page from DDM. they should be showing up shortly. the current lights you see are for the HPI Baja 5B/SS/5T light pods, they are scaled in 1/5th so pretty large for our 1/10 rigs. http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.88...egory.62483/.f |

You could always setup a servo that would activate the push button....if you have the room in your Rx.

Yes it will. I have the kit in one of my scalers and it is the last setting. The first being all lights in static mode....then the other settings are variations of the lights flashing and the final being all lights off. It would be some work to get the button to be activated by a servo, but it should work.
