Default Trinity 1600 2/3A cells?

Guys, I'm considering all battery options for my crawler, including some Trinity 2/3A cells I found that 1600 mili-amp hour rated. Has anyone tried these? I would like to know if the capacity really is better then the more popular Elite 1500 cells.

According to Chris at CBP.com, elite cells are the best and most reliable. I never had any trouble with mine (3 packs)

Love the Elite, and the 100 mah difference isn't enough for me to justify an experiment. Thought about it myself, but went with 'ol reliable

Thanks. Same here. I heard the Elites where superior as well, but had to ask. That extra 100 mili-amps would really only supply another 5 mins of run time, probably.

Personally I don't like the nimh with so much mah packed in. It makes them less heavier, and so far they have less cycle life. I would rather run some 1200s that lasted 100 cycles than a pack of 1500s that lasted 30 cycles.

But take this with a grain of salt, I just don't like nimh in general. I would rather buy nicad over nimh, they last longer.

John, that's interesting. I thought NiCad couldn't support as much current draw?

It can't for the most part, but if I need current draw I use lipo and not nimh. In the long run it is cheaper because the lipo will last more cycles if you pick the right pack.

The good old 1500 nicad packs are great for bashing around though, and are the only sub-c packs I still have. All my nimh have long ago died.
