| Mini Servos: HS-5245MG vs. HS-225MG for Dig
Well, I got a decent deal on a Hitec HS-5245MG for my DNA dig, but came across something saying that digital is LESS forgiving in a bind situation therefor causing it to burn out? Should I return it and order the HS-225MG instead? Why would the digital servo be less forgiving? |

As long as you can set your endpoints then a digital servo will be fine. But if not - the digital will probably end up frying.

x2 set up the epa...and if you hear your dig not engaging correctly, just switch it back so you don't over stress the servo and kill it.

I am considering buying either the 5245MG or the 225MG for my Losi MRC, I like the torque numbers for the 5245MG. I'm unfamiliar with digital servos, what do you mean by setting the endpoints and how would one do that? | |

You will be fine using those digital servos for steering and not messing with the end points (the points at which the gears inside the servo come to a stop). These settings are much more important when these servos are used for a dig (three different settings and the points are held for lengthy periods of time).
