| Servo choice-need some help!!!
Well i just finished up my chassis and it turned out great, and is pretty lightweight for a 16 inch wheelbase chassis. I am running 7 inch tires on this thing so i want some servos that can handle those stationary with ease. Here is what i am looking at: the Hobbico cs-80's running them on a 6v seperate pack or the hobbico cs-73's and just wiring them to the normal battery pack. Here are my questions: Do i need the torque of the cs-80's, and live with the seperate pack? Or should i go for the 73's and deal with the torque to save the weight? how much runtime will the servos get on their own pack? what would you run on your comp crawler? thanks ahead of time, Zack |

You could use the CS-80's and a regulator to drop the voltage down to 6 volts...Best of both worlds. Heavy |

Well, is this a clod rig with 2 motors or a shafty with 1?? With my clod, 2 lathes, 10 tooth pinions, and a 3700mah pack I get about 45 minutes of runtime. That's running 7.2 volts to the servo. I don't reccomend it, but that's what I do. Heavy |
