| Weak right turn
First off here is what i got on my scx: CC Sidewinder CKRC "wiggle" servo TQ3 reciever Reedy 3600 7.2v My problem is when i turn right its like i lose speed and power. Once i release the turn it goes back to normal speed and power. Turning left it does fine. I was wondering if I need a bec...? Thanks. |

if it only does it when you turn a certain way. My first guess would be binding int you front universal joints. If it were slowing in both directions I would add the guess it was loosing power. But not when it's only doing it in the right position. Does it slow down right time you begin to turn or only once its locked all the way right.

It only does it on a full lock right turn. Could not having my servo centered correctly cause it? I think i centered it right but maybe i did something wrong. It kinda makes different motor noise when it turns right also. It goes from a steady whine to like a quivering sound. |

sounds like the servo isn't centered.

I would guess either your binding or like yall said servo may not be centered. when you turn right and give it gas does it make a sound or anything like a winding noise. Or does it just pretty much slow down with no noise.

straighten your wheels and take off the servo horn from the servo without disconnecting you steering links. switch on radio and esc and it should center itself. Push the horn back on and put screw in. If it still does it I'm still going with binding either in your left or right front joints. Mine does slow down a little when I lock it either way becuase of a little binding in mine but not enough to get worried about.

Well I just re-centered my servo like you said and it still does it. It's not enough to the point that it hinders performance, just dont want to burn up a servo or esc. Well its a pretty cheap servo so if i burn it up i wont be out that much money. I appreciate the help. |

you should prop it up on something and disconnect your horn again and go wide open with your throttle and turn you servo back and forth (of course your horn will be off and truck off the ground) see if it cuts back then. if it does something is going wrong with you servo/bec/esc. If it doesnt then you definetly have some binding issues to address.

My truck was doing the same thing to the right. I tried a new speed control-new servo and still did it. I had to lenghten the arm from the servo to the knuckle. When my truck turns right it pushes the right knuckle. I lenghtened it about 1/8 inch and it solved it. I had to recenter the steeering. I disconnected the servo arm and centered the servo. With the wheels centered I reistalled the arm. Hope it works for you. Matt

I recentered my servo a litte off center and it quit doing. When its perfectly centered the servo turns too far to the right. Kinda seems bass ackwards to me. |

if it turns to far too the right your limits may need some looking at. I always run my servo centered. I just use my radio's limits to adjust how far it will turn in any given direction. but for a radio that doesnt have limits i guess you do what you can do.
