| ESC question
What's the best ESC (budget in mind) that can handle a 3s lipo. I'm running brushed motor for now in my AX10 and havn't decided if I need brushless later on. So one that's for brushed only will be fine or one that can handle both would be great too. Thanks in advnace -Chris |

CC sidewinder... can be had for about $70 and will do all your looking for... some complain about the "weak" drag brake... well... I find it PERFECT set at 70%... it slows the truck on the down lines and if i need to STOP I blip the break... the truck has always stopped in its tracks and HELD until I told it to go again... unless the wheels lost traction then it SLIDES down with all four locked If you do go with the sidewinder or any CC product get the castlelink or at least know someone that has one... it makes programing SO easy... and you'll love them throttle curves |

get the 1/10 sidewinder for an Ax-10. Oh... one more thing... no matter WHAT speed control you choose its a good idea to run a BEC if your doing 3s... CC BEC is what i run with my 1/10 sidewinder. Last edited by JSN; 03-02-2009 at 06:59 PM. |

i run the 1/10 cc sidewinder, great esc and the castle link works great with it. The only problem i see is that you probably didnt get the conector needed to program the sidewinder with the mamba. I believe the mamba uses a mini usb where as the sidewinder uses a adaptor to the servo conector
