Default Sidewinder MICRO motor limit?

I searched 8 pages of threads... didn't really find my answer... one poster said that 55t was the limit but nothing to back it up...

So... will a sidewinder micro run a single 35T lathe on 3s?(CC BEC of course) all I can find is a 35amp continious rating... i have no clue what a 35T would draw amp wise crawling.

I would just by another sidewinder but I need this to power my wifes MRC so size is an issue, however I would also like to use it on her TLT based crawler as well... she can't run both crawlers at once and with bullets/deans all around it will only take a min to swap it over

I know there are other options BUT I allready have a bunch of CC stuff and the CC link for programing... I'd rather stick with CC for now.

i would think it will easily handle a 35t with a 3 cell.

I'm running a Mamba Micro in a waterproof (sealed) box in my scaler with a 45t Holmes Handwound, and 1320 TP 3 cell lipo, and it works awesome. I've been running it for 4 months, probably 15 packs through it, and it performs perfectly. I LOVE it.

Well I got my answer from CC today....

John,

We won't cover it in a 2.2 rig...you'd have to use a 1/10th ESC. It DEFINITELY won't handle a 3s on a 35T.

Well that sucks... I guess I'll be buying a tekin FX-R after all... I just can't see buying two speed controls in this case.

They didn't understand the 35T question. Need to make sure that you asked about a 35T lathe motor not a 35T Handwound motor......big difference.

540 motors are still not covered under warrenty. I don't recommend it although you can get away with it.

constantmotion... I put sidewinder MICRO and 35 TURN INTGEY LATHE MOTOR in BOLD text in my e-mail to CC... I don't think there was any misunderstanding...

I'd rather not risk burning up an ESC for no good reason... I just figured if it was possible to use the micro in both rigs I'd save a little cash buying one ESC vs two... oh well... I didn't figure this hobby would EVER save me money
