Default DX6i question

I looked at Spektrum's website and I did a search on here, and I'm still coming up without an answer.

I just got a slightly used DX6i and a AR6200 Rx to use on my 1.9 scaler.

My question is, does that reciever need to use an external BEC to function? It's so tiny, I can't imagine that it has an internal BEC, but I really don't know so that's why I'm asking everyone for some help.

The rx doesnt have a bec, your esc will have one or you can get an external cc bec...

X2
The BEC isn't in the rx, the rx will get it's power from the BEC in your ESC unless you run the external one. But to answer your question, no, you don't necessarily need an external BEC with it depending on what ESC you're running.

thanks for the replies, I feel silly because I forgot that the ESC has the BEC inside, not the Rx. Oh well, at least I should be able to make the winch work on the scaler now!
