| How do I pull out the red wire on my FXR?
Sorry for the newb question. I need to pull the red wire from my Tekin FXR ESC to use it with my CC BEC and I can't figure out how to get the red wire out of the plug without cutting it. Is there some trick I'm missing? Thanks. |

Lift up the little tab on the servo plug with a paper clip or safety pin then pull it out. The tab keeps the wire end locked into the plug. A safety pin works best just something pointy. Try not to break the tab. If you do it right you can put the wire back in whenever you need to. Hope that helps.

If you want to leave the ESC lead intact, you can also use a short extension plugged into your ESC, and then remove the red lead from the extension. If it gets damaged, just pick up a new one.

I second Creepy's recomendation. Plus if you want to use the Tekin Hotwire to program, you'll need to keep your original lead intact as well. You LHS should have a short 3" extension, use that and then you can clip, pull or even remove the red wire entirely on the extension. -Mike |

Thanks guys. I might look for a short extension at the hobby shop tomorrow. I was planning to go down there anyways.
